For many of you Flowing Tears (formerly known as Flowing Tears & Withered Flowers) are not truly 'newcomers' any more, since the six-piece from Saarbrücken (in the Southwest of Germany) have already released two highly acclaimed full-length albums, 'Swansongs' (1996) and (with female singer Stefanie Duchêne) 'Joy Parade' (1997), through the Italian indie-label Seven Art Music.

Together with their busy live-appearances all over Germany as well as abroad, the foundations for their early carreer were laid. One of the first highlights was their support-role for the Norwegian experimental gothic rockers The 3rd & The Mortal on their European tour in 1997 which enabled the band to experience life on the road just three years after their formation in 1994.

In 1999, the track 'Swallow' from the self-released EP with the same title filled people with enthousiasm about Flowing Tears' bittersweet gothic rock with the atypical dark voice of singer Stefanie, so that Rock Hard magazine included the song on their 'Unerhört!' covermount-CD.

Among various other gigs, Flowing Tears also opened up for their now-labelmates The Gathering. After signing to Century Media Records, the band was ready to hit Hagen's famous Woodhouse Studios to record their third album 'Jade' together with Waldemar Sorychta.

'Jade' features twelve tracks that prove that, no matter if it is the year 2000 already, the time is always right for honest emotions and some quiet moments of self-reflection.
