Ikuinen Kaamos was formed in 1997 by J.Ruuskanen and T.Kyyhkynen. As a result, Ikuinen Kaamos released two demos in 1997 and 1998 that were mainly directed to the underground scene. Soon after the second release T.Kyyhkynen left the band to concentrate on other projects. Ikuinen Kaamos was supposed to continue it's journey but because of other interests the band was put on hold.

In 2003, J.Ruuskanen wanted to bring this group back to life. A new drummer named K.Hyvärinen came aboard. Ikuinen Kaamos started to rehearse new material. In April of 2003 they released a demo called So Rose The Dreadful Ghost. It was made practically free and in a very short time. But despite of demo's cheap production it was well received worldwide.

Couple of months after the demo was released K.Hyvärinen left the band and J.Ruuskanen started immediately to search new members to Ikuinen Kaamos. At the end of the year he had found three new members to the line-up. The band started rehearsing. The plan was to head to the studio as soon as possible. Ikuinen Kaamos released a promo called The Lands Of The Plague in June of 2004. The band put a lot of heart and soul in this release and they are extremely proud of the outcome. Now the band is composing and rehearsing new material. The plan is to start playing gigs in the near future. Only time will tell what lies ahead.
