Infuriate was formed as Necropolis late 2001 from the ashes of Nemesis Degenerated and Insanity in Disguise. Two bands that had been around in the local scene for some time. While these two bands supplied the Vocals, Bass, Guitar and Drums, another guitarplayer was found to complete the line-up . The first year was mainly used for writing our own material and getting to know each other's taste in music.
Next, it was time to do some shows. After a series of successful shows, the time was right to record a first demo. In 2002 we spent three days in a little studio in Horst and came up with a four track demo called Necropolis, which holds the first four songs the band wrote after getting together.
The following year was used to gain podium experience and to develop a full show that we could play, including some theatrical bits for the show-element. During this period some covers were added from Pestilence, At The Gates and Six Feet Under as well as eight new songs which mark the musical direction Necropolis is going.
By now we have enough material to record a new demo which will be recorded in June or Juli 2004.This release will feature eight new tracks that are a lot more agressive than the first songs we wrote. And as a bonus we will record the four songs of the Necropolis Demo and put them on the new release as bonus tracks.
In 2004 we decided to change the name of the band to Infuriate due to an overpopulation of bands named Necropolis .
Infuriate's goal is to make a varied combination of trash/death metal with a little groove in it.
