Sanctuary was a heavy metal band that formed in 1985 in Seattle, Washington, USA. They recorded two albums for the major label Epic Records before splitting up in 1991 because of musical differences. Their debut album was produced by Megadeth's Dave Mustaine who also contributed with a guitar solo and backing vocals. Some of the band members formed Nevermore after the breakup.
