UTOPIE has been founded by five members Malina (A.P.M.) his brother Arek (K.Ö.R.I.), Michi Turbo (F.P.I.) his brother Mario (S.U.K.A.V.A.) and Patrick (M.C.L.O.S.O.S.L.) in the summer of ´96.
3 months after we got our first rehearsing-room, we just decided to record our 1st demotape called 'Psychopathological Menstruationorgasm', which got some great remarks from all freaks, ´zines and labels.
In August ´97 we went back to the studio for the record of our 2nd demotape, which is called 'Phalluskult Usus'. It doesn´t took so long ´till this first releases has been sold out!
We lost our rehearsing-room after the 2nd tape for over 7 months and that´s why we hadn´t the chance to release anything in ´98.
Some conflicts began between the members in the long break and the result was that Michi Turbo (F.P.I.) decided to leave the band. 3 months later our guitar player Patrick (M.C.L.O.S.O.S.L.) made also the decision to leave UTOPIE, ´cause there been some different values about the music/future of UTOPIE.
After a long break we released a split live demo with MINDFLAIR, in the beginning of ´99, which was recorded in Osterburken (Ger), where we played with IMMURED, BLOOD and our brothers in grindcore MINDFLAIR.
´99 was a year, which was quite dangerous for the future of UTOPIE. Our singer Mario (S.U.K.A.V.A.) went the way, that the other walked, but he had really bad problems with his healthy. From this time UTOPIE started to be a duet and no members will join the band, only members for the live gigs.
Problems with the criminal investigation/public prosecutor just started. We had a court hearing, ´cause of a package/trade we should receive from an Czechian label, where we got a penalty of 4000$ in 50 days or 2 months in the jail. But we got free at the court hearing.
´99 had also some good sides for example we released our debut album 'Instinct For Existence' on BIZARRE LEPROUS PROD. & DISGORGEMENT OF SQUASH BODIES RECORDS, we just haven´t expected the great reaction of all the freaks, labels, Radioshows and ´zines all over the world about that album.
After that followed the 6way split cd w/AUTOPHAIGIA/SQUASH BOWELS/BRUTALITY REIGNS SUPREME/TWISTED TRUTH/DECOMPOSITION on BIZARRE LEPROUS PROD. in late 2000.
2000 UTOPIE left Bizarre Lepous Prod., ´cause through some problems with the court again, we can´t release the 2nd album in the Czech Rep.
