-Xandria-

Already in the middle of the nineties exists briefly a forerunner the today's volume under the name "Xandria". Inspired of volume such as Tiamat and Paradise wants Marco hay tree and a friend of it draws their first musical going attempts in the fascinating border field between hard Metalklaengen and atmospheric sound landscapes to dare. Due to different opinions over the musical adjustment it comes however 1997 to the Split in the meantime the completely occupied volume (inclusive a singer, who supported Marco, singers and guitarist, with some Backing inserts), in whose consequence Marco files one while alone at its own vision, before he makes himself again on the search for Mitmusikern.

1999 see the beginnings the today's volume in a Bielefelder training room, in which Marco presents its first Songs for the project of the new Xandria crew, which consists straight verblichenen bielefelder Metalband of Roland Krueger with its former volume colleagues of. Under this Songs "Kill are the Sun", "Casablanca" and "like that you disappear", which already originated in to 1994 as Urversion as first Song of this whole musical journey.

2000 are the year, in which from a project genuine volume becomes, after to 5 Songs taken up in a small studio and end the yearly in the InterNet for the first time the public were introduced: on sides like "mp3.de" or "besonic.com" becomes the Songs demos the Underground hits of the yearly, an enormous fan municipality grows up unexpectedly immensely fast, among other things also e.g. in the USA by the side "mp3.com" - as much feedback could not remain without consequences, and Marco formed the project to real volume. After two occupation changes the troop consists now of Marco, Lisa, Gerit, Roland and Andy, the predecessor of Philip, which will only to it-push in the next year. As interesting background information it can be still added that on this first Demosongs half of the singing was taken over still by Marco themselves, because the idea was meant for few parts to use female singing originally only only, which became ever more numerous only with the time. At the beginning only "Kill the Sun" should have been spoken by a female voice - inspired about "lady rose-talk", a Song the Swedish volume Lake OF Tears. Marco finds now however ever more favour at Lisas being correct employment, and already on the Songs, in new occupation written the now become (in addition "Ginger" counts for example) hardly still emerge Marco as singers.

2001 always continue to rise the Bekanntheitsgrad in the Underground, and the volume is booked for first small concerts. Also first contacts are attached to the Musikbusiness, among them Udo room, who today's managers that volume, which actually seeks out the five on one this music Community web page, which justified the admittingness Xandrias. Some labels knock, it become now more serious; and the music study in the far Oldenburg forces the guitarist Andy to the decision against the volume, which now hard actually works, in order to be prepared for the jump into a larger public. 2002 are played far in the Underground live and tinkered industrious at new demos, because Drakkar records are interested and want to hear more of that volume, whose technical and artistic conditions naturally developed themselves further since the 2000er demo photographs. Drakkar are finally convinced the volume, one become united and set in December the signature under the disk contract - during already with producer Dirk Riegner at the first Longplayer work ELT.

2003 are it then so far. "Kill the Sun" stands in May in the shops and goes scarcely into the German album Top 100 - a considerable success for a debut. After those denied volume in the spring already with Subway ton of Sally some concerts, it goes with dance rage now on the first larger route. On the three weeks crosswise by Germany one erspielt a quantity of new fans and celebrates themselves extensively with them. After Festivals like the "Méra Luna" and a further route with the Gothic volume "Asp" one entrenchs oneself in the winter again in the studio. The very eventful year left its traces with many new ideas, and so one wanted not to take time with the second album to for a long time, which accepts Belgian studio now in co-operation with "Wolfsheim" Erfolgsproduzent José Alvarez Brill in its forms. Hauptsongwriter Marco co-operates kompositorisch strengthened in the team with Lisa, which contributes also two completely own Songs.

2004 begin first sadly for Xandria, because bassist Roland leaves those volume for vocational reasons. The search for a substitute begins, and with Nile Middelhauve is finally found after many audit ion a successor. Also he is not an unknown quantity for the volume: Lisa had some years ago already appeared as a solo artist with Nile earlier volumes Visible Touch, which was also Marco a term, because he had written in a local Fanzine once over her. And so it could continue.

The second album "Ravenheart" stands on 24 May in the shop and emerges as surprise success: Top 40 in the German Albumcharts, in which the album remains seven weeks. Xandrias first video, turned zumSong "Ravenheart", enjoys of large popularity with the viewers, because it became a fantasievoller kurzfilm with many atmospheric pictures and in such a way from the unit mash of the tie-clips out-stings.

Also in the far east one belonged in the meantime of Xandria and invites those volume to the largest open air of Southeast Asia: The appearance with the "Busan internationally skirt Festival" in Korea turns out to the genuine Show highlight before 30000 inspired spectators.
