The British thrash metal act Xentrix was originally formed in 1986 under the name Sweet Vengeance. After a demo recording they signed a deal with the Dutch label Roadracer Records (later to become Roadrunner Records). Before this they had recorded the track "Blackmail" for an Ebony Records compilation album called "Full Force". After the release of their debut album the band became popular on the UK club circuit and also recorded a cover version of the Ray Parker Jnr. track "Ghostbusters" for their first single release.
