From Back Cover:

There's never a dull moment in this lively drama following the lives of three men living it large in Manchester's gay village.

Stuart Jones (Aidan Gillen) has got it all. He's rich, drop-dead gorgeous and always the centre of attention. He can be forgiven the arrogance because he's pretty close to perfection. His best mate Vince Tyler (Craig Kelly) is funny, adorable and definitely a babe but, unlike his friend, has zeroconfidence in himself. Since time began, Vince has carried a torch for Stuart but his love remains firmly unrequited. They're both 29, hitting Canal Street every night, stalwarts of the scene but just starting to wonder rwhere else their lives may be going.

Then along comes Nathan Maloney (Charlie Hunnam). Young, wild and coming out with a vengeance, he crowbars his way into their world and once he arrives, nothing is ever the same again.

My Comments:

I bought this series after seeing the American version (which was based on this), but found myself rather disappointed. The acting was a bit sub-par and the men are nowhere near as attractive as their American counterparts.

From Back Cover:

This is the sequel to the groundbreaking series that provoked so much heat in newsprint last year. The award-winning Original British Queer as Folk blew television off the straight and narrow, and just to ensure it remains that way, Stuart (Aidan Gillen), Vince (Craig Kelly) and Nathan (Charlie Hunnam) are back!

Queer as Folk 2 takes their story further, and once again follows the dazzling Canal Street boys through their lives, loves and dangerous liasons.

Stuart, Vince and Nathan are back for one last wild, outrageous adventure on Canal Street. But amongst the fabulous nights out, the one night stands, the clubbing, all is not well. Someone's trying to blackmail Stuart Jones. Stuart is no one's victim. Now he's out for revenge. Big time! As Stuart fights back, Vince is facing a dilemma. Stuart's revenge is taking him on the wrong side of the law, and could even get someone killed. Just when it seems that they might finally get together, Vince thinks Stuart's gone too far. Will Nathan ever get over Stuart? Will Vince ever get his man? Can Stuart ever be stopped? In this witty, exciting drama, only one thing is for sure: No straight person is ever going to call a gay boy "queer" again...

This is a 'must have' for every fan of the series.

My Comments:

I haven't actually seen this season of the show. After being so disappointed with the previous season, I didn't bother to watch it. I can only assume that it is as lack-luster as its predescessor.
