With tear filled eyes, she stood there watching helplessly as the
waves started lapping at their beautiful castle of love and dreams
the two had built together. Each day the water was rising
higher and higher, eroding the very foundation of the love they had shared.
The fear and the horrid pain she felt was nearly overwhelming
her days and nights. Restless she could not
have a peaceful night's sleep.

Tossing and turning like the waves in a stormy ocean, awakening
with him ever on her mind. She was left to deal
with an new type of pain and sense of loss
never before endured.

The beauty of their love was slowly washing
away into the emptiness of the vast ocean,
to be lost forever she knew.
This to her, had been the most beautiful love.
One she felt that surely was heaven sent.

The castle had been years in the building.
Each day the two of them had conversed and
shared their daily lives.
Bringing a renewed joy she had never known before.
No matter what kind of troubles were in her days
she was able to embrace them with smiles.

Now, the reality and relentless pain had set in.
Filled with emptiness and loss, she felt like the tides
were ebbing at her feet, pulling her under, as she slowly watched
the castle of her love and dreams die away.

She had based her love on a trust in him that was now
being torn away from her. Devastation was shredding her very soul
like piercing shardes of glass, destroying the love she felt for him.
Lost, empty, unable to smile, she would strive to persevere.

She will look to God above to ease her pain.
One day she hopes to be able to look
back upon this and be able to smile with fondness for
this special love that was not really meant to be.
This she prayed would soon pass away.
You see today she lost her best friend.
And the love letters in the sand had been washed away.
