***If anyone has the actual commercial CD of this show and is willing to sell it, PLEASE email me! I'd love a copy & am willing to pay pretty well for one.***

I am going to be very, very honest with you. I never bought this CD. I downloaded all of the songs from Audiogalaxy. (Let me tell you, separating the Toronto stuff from the OBC was a huge, painstaking task!) But you can't be mad at me, because honestly – I'd buy this CD if it were possible! But sadly it is out of print (which is a weird expression to use for a CD!). But as to my review - if you like the Jane Eyre OBC, you need to get your hands on a copy of the Toronto version! It's great! Anthony Crivello has a higher voice and brings a very different approach to the role of Rochester than Broadway's James Barbour, and he is wonderful in a different way. Marla Schaffel was Jane in this production as well as on Broadway, but there are some very noticeable differences in even the Jane songs that were the same in the Broadway version.

There are so many differences in this CD that is definitely worth it to get it if you can. A longer version of "Farewell, Good Angel"… a different way of singing "Secret Soul"… some songs that were later cut before Broadway… really, it's great. I love it.

Like I said, it's not available in stores. Sometimes you can find copies on Ebay but they usually go for these ridiculous prices. Your best bet is to find a group of fans of the show online somewhere and ask politely if someone with the CD and a CD burner will burn you a copy for a reasonable price or something. The people at the Jane Eyre Forum are really, really nice, so I bet someone there will help you out if you ask nicely. The other thing you could do is find a bootleg trading list (there are some on Yahoo! Groups) and either trade or pay someone to help you out. This is a recording that fans of the show should definitely own, however!
