On August 22nd, on the way back down from a long needed vacation in the U.P. Michigan they stopped by Grand Rapids and decided to take a walk down the street, and down that street they found the Morning Star 76 which just so happened to be having an open mic/poetry night where they played and were very well received and complimented openly by the audience. On October 16th the Cult of Fiction endevoured to travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to record a demo and perform on that date, the show went well despite it being their worst show yet which was still wicked, regardless of @zrael's cold, you could actually hear the pain in his voice as he sang every single song they had time for, as well as making it clear that wasnt enough for them to have to shutdown the show. The Morning Star 76 story: (open mics from Sept - October) @zrael played there at the open mics on occasion and when Merlin came up thats when we met Frosty doing another open mic, who accompied them at the prior show, they met a guy there who rolled a joint in the BATHROOM unbeknownst to them while smoking it in their road worthy van, and then later got himself and them banned from the cafe!
On October 30th Cult of Fiction played their second show at the Liquid Room in Grand Rapids. This show was a definate success with a Rivited & Attentive crowd and the best performance so far in the tour. |
