Munkustrap is the future leader of the Jellicle Tribe. He is a tall silver tabby who is always protecting everyone else. He has a great deal of respect for Old Deuteronomy. He also acts as a sort of storyteller and narrator for the Ball. He seems to be the mate of Demeter, because she is always running to him, and hanging off of him, but I've heard that in the London production Demeter is closer to Alonzo (Munkustrap's 'second in command') than Munkus.
