Romeo and Juliet

Sampson and Grace (Capulet servents) talk before a fight in the streets.

"What, drawn and talk of peace? I hate the word as I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee. Have at thee, coward!" -Tybalt

Tybalt and Benvolio fight durning the "civil brawl"

"Many a morning hath he there been seen with tears augmenting the fresh morning's dew, adding to clouds more clouds with his deep sighs" -Montague

Lord and Lady Montague ask Benvolio if he knows what is wrong with Romeo.

"O, teach how I should forget to think!" -Romeo
"By giving liberty unto thine eyes. Examine other beauties." -Benvolio

Benvolio discovers that Romeo is in love with Rosaline, who does not return his love and tells him to forget about her. (This would have been a great picture had Rob's eyes have been open)

"My child is yet a stranger in the world. She hath not seen the change of fourteen years. Let two more summers wither in their pride ere we may think her ripe to be a bride" -Capulet

Paris asks to marry Juliet, but her father says she is too young still and that he is allowing her to marry one of her choosing (that he also agrees with). He asks him to come to the party so that Juliet may met him.

"Thus, then, in brief: the valiant Paris seek you for his love." -Lady Capulet

Lady Capulet asks Juliet if she will met Paris to see if she likes him

"You are a lover. Borrow Cupid's wings and soar with them beyond a comman bound." -Mercutio

Juliet enters the party on the arm of her cousin, Tybalt

"What lady's that which doth enrich the hand of yonder knight?" -Romeo

Romeo first sees Juliet and falls in love with her (not yet knowing she is a Capulet) while Benvolio and Mercutio get drunk.

"Did my heart love till now? Foreswear it, sight, for I ne'er saw true beauty till this night." -Romeo

Love at first sight... Awe...

"Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, to strike him dead I hold it not a sin." -Tybalt

Tybalt is outraged that Romeo is at the party, but Lord Capulet will let him do nothing about it.
