The answer is yes, but give us time. If you do not see a song on our playlist that you would like at your event, simply contact Samantha Crammond. For us to arrange a piece for your event, we require a minimum of two months advance notice and a fee. Please contact Samantha for more information.
I am having a wedding and would like the Gateway String Quartet to attend my wedding rehearsal. Is that possible?
The Gateway String Quartet will attend wedding rehearsals with the fee included in the booked price. Please contact Samantha Crammond with rehearsal information immediately to ensure availability of all members of the quartet.
I live 100 miles away from the St. Louis Metropolitan area? Is there any way the quartet could play my event?
The Gateway String Quartet is available for all jobs in all areas. A travel fee will be incurred for any location outside a 30-mile radius of the St. Louis Metropolitan area. For extremely long distances: If the event is a wedding and the rehearsal is the night before, it might be easier to book lodging for the quartet rather than paying for the travel fee numerous times. Will the Gateway String Quartet play outside?
The Gateway String Quartet will play outside, but not in inclement weather. We cannot perform outdoors in weather colder than 60 degrees and warmer than 85 degrees. Our instruments are very, very valuable and we cannot perform with any type of precipitation occurring. Experience has taught us that most people do not know the conditions we require to perform at our best--therefore, we must make our clients aware of these conditions and ask them to honor our simple requirements. We expect to be treated with the same kind of professionalism that we like to exhibit.
What if my event is canceled at the last minute? Do I get a refund?
The Gateway String Quartet requires one-week notice for cancellation of an event. The down payment is always nonrefundable.
While playing at the event, I realize I would like the Gateway String Quartet to play longer than originally booked. Is this possible?
The Gateway String Quartet is booked for a specific amount of time. Overtime will be charged at a rate of $75.00 per half-hour per player for any fraction of playing time beyond the contracted agreement. It is probably best to book an extra hour if there is a chance of overtime occurring.
Can I book two players rather than the entire Gateway String Quartet?
The Gateway String Quartet is just that—a quartet. Booking individual players is not possible.
