Once upon a time (because ever story must begin that way), there was a little girl named Ashley Delanci. This little girl loved the musical Cats with all her heart. But, alas, when the girl was 20, Cats left Broadway. Ashley cried.
Then when Ashley was 30, she was living in Toronto and trying to think of a musical to put on. She was a director now, and she desperately need a job. Of course, she thought back to her childhood and remember Cats. "Oh!" Ashley exclaimed. "I'll bring Cats back to Broadway!"
So Ashley called the Broadway theater people and discovered another director was already bringing Cats back to Broadway. After swearing at the Broadway people for 1/2 an hour, she decided she would just open Cats in Toronto where she already was.
Well, Ashley got permission to put on Cats (although she did have to apologize to the Broadway people- they had ratted her out the the Really Useful Company), she forced some of her old friends to be the crew and she held auditions. And more auditions. And more auditions.
And finally, Ashley chose her cast. They had to be the best, didn't they? And they were. Actors from all over the world joined together to create the first Canadian Production in years. And this is their story...
