Demeter was sitting, sunning herself on the tyre. "How wonderful life is", she said to herself.
Suddenly she heard a scream. She sat up, her ears straining to hear anything else. She heard another scream, but further away. "Rumpleteazer" She suddenly thought. The first scream had sounded like her, then the second, like Mungojerrie! Had the catnapperes finally gone too far?
then, suddenly she remembered something that she hadn't told anyone. "But, no....he can't have...could he?" She thuoght. She jumped down, and ran across the junkyard to tell someone...

a) Demeter can't find anyone, so she goes after looking for Mungo and Rump herself
