Amy proved to be a little ball of fire during this production. After getting a part in this production, it was Amy who first demonstrated to me what selling a show is all about. She showed anger only when it was absolutely necessary, gave the cast all the breaks she could muster, was compassionate when emergencies and injuries occured, and still somehow managed to direct other Growing Stage productions while turning our's into what must have been one of her best.

I recall seeing Amy at one of the rehersals just before Opening night. At the conclusion of the show, I saw Jean Ann give Amy a big hug just as the last note was sung and the small audience began the applause. The show was ready, and everyone seemed to know. Amy looked so proud in that dark audience, and it was one of the best feelings I had during the entire production (seeing my director so proud of her cast and our show!).

I later told Amy, after watcing an episode of Spin City, that I tought she looked like the actress Joanna Going. Amy went on to do some work for the Omaha Opera. The last I heard was that she was engaged to be married and was thinking of re-locating again back to the east. Thanks Amy for a wonderful show. I will never forget you.
