A prayer to politicians

In the name of the poor
The wretched, and the unemployed
Our politicians who are in cabinet
Hallow be thy party
Thy elections done
Thy party has won
And the poor are still getting poorer

Give us this day
A brand new home
And help us poor people to get our land
As we strive to find employment
To secure our future
Lead us not into destruction
But protect us from Guatemala

For you must fulfill your promises
To we the people
Since you are now in power

We need better health
Better education
And better housing
Stop wasting time on round-a-bout
And politically fighting with each other
We expect to get results from your party
Now and forever and ever
Amen!
