(One Ring to Rule them All, One Ring to Find them, One Ring to Bring them All, and in the Darkness... Bind Them.)

(-Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, New Line Cinemas)

This film is too monumental to even BEGIN to try and go through by myself- Lucky for you, there's a great team who's already done that.

Lord of the Rings Costume

This is the best site out there if you're making a costume from the movie. Because of that, the only things I'll be posting here are my costumes. Check em out!

In Research stages-
Eowyn's refugee outfit (photo from The Lord of the Rings Costuming Research) This was my favorite gown when I saw the movie for the first time. Don't even ask when I'll start this one.

In Progress-
Arwen's chase dress
(photo from theonering.net) I'm working on it. Really.

Eowyn's white gown - Now in progress! Click here to go to the special website.

Lothíriel of Dol Ameroth Green Rohan Gown- Now in progress! Click here to go to the special website.

Finished-
Green hobbit woman
(For lack of a better name) This was made, believe it or not- out of an old green tablecloth. Seriously. The underskirt was made from a yard and a half of old fabric from a friend, and the shirt and mobcap were from a previous costume. More photos coming soon.

Green and Gold Elven-inspired woman- I made this gown for my 15th birthday party, and was pretty happy with the results. In August, we went camping and I had the opportunity to take some pictures of me in the gown on location, which was really fun (and cold). The gown was made from the trusty dusty Simplicity 9891 (with alterations) in this beeeautiful green and gold leaf pattered fabric that I got on sale for 2 bucks a yard. God, I love JoAnns. I altered the sleeves and neckline a bit to suit my fancy. In the birthday shot, I'm wearing this really cool (and really heavy) wig, but in the camping pictures, that hair's all mine :0P. Look close in the second camping photo- you can see my pajama bottoms! :0P)

More to come!
