LIZA MINNELLI
winner of three Tony Awards, an Oscar, a golden Globe and an Emmy, is one of the entertainment world's consummate performers.

In film, on stage, and on television, Liza has won critical acclaim, a multitude of fans, and recognition from her first New York appearance in the Off-Broadway revival of Best Foot Forward, winning a Theatre World Award. She won her first Tony Award for Flora, the Red Menace, making her, at age 19, the youngest actress to win a Tony for a musical role. She won her second Tony in 1973 for breaking the box-office record at the winter Garden Theatre for her one-women show and her third Tony in 1978 for her performance in Kander/ Ebb's The Act. Liza was nominated for an Oscar in 1969 for The Sterile Cuckoo, and in 1972 she won the Oscar and the Golden Globe Award for her performance as Sally Bowles in Cabaret directed by Bob Fosse. Her talents were acknowledged by Great Britain that awarded her its own Oscar for Cabaret, and in Italy she has won two David di Donatello Awards for The Sterile Cuckoo and Cabaret, as well as the Valentino Award.

Her other film credits include: Charlie Bubbles; Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon; Lucky Lady; Silent Movie; A Matter of Time; New York, New York; Arthur; Arthur 2: On the Rocks; Rent A Cop; and Steppin Out..

In 1972, Liza won the Emmy Award for her television special, "Liza with a Z," and that same year she was named female star of the Year by the National Association of Theatre Owners. In 1975 she replaced an ailing Gwen Verdon in Chicago-The Musical for five weeks, teaming up with Chita Rivera for the first time. Liza also worked with the Martha Graham Dance Company, when she narrated the ballet The Owl and the Pussycat in New York in 1978, and in London in 1980. She has the distinction of being the first performer to sell out Carnegie Hall for a full 11 days of performances. Her television appearances include "Goldie and Liza Together" in which she teamed with Goldie Hawn, and "Baryshnikov on Broadway," a salute to the American Musical Theatre in which she appeared with Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Since then Liza has dazzled audiences by performing in The Rink with Chita Rivera, An Evening With Liza Minnelli, Victor/Victoria, Minnelli on Minnelli, and the recent concert, Liza's Back!, at the Beacon Theatre in good ole New York!
