The Midnight Train Crossing

My mother and I headed out to the Stage Door on the last night of the show. As it turned out, I kinda regret not Stage Dooring the other nights, but oh well.
There were these trucks parked on the street with their engines running. It was quite loud. I was a bit worried that it would be TOO loud to talk to people, but it turned out alright.
First, this guy came out with the 'tired actor' look. He sat down on the ledge next to the door and took out his phone. I assumed he was checking his voice mail and I silently wished him luck, what with the trucks. While he was sitting there, I thought that he looked an awful lot like Kris Stock (Of Ruhrgold fame)
Another actor came out and I caught him. (I should've brought bait!). He introduced himself as Craig (Cady) and I impressed him by asking him if I was the butler. (I studied :)) Picture
I'm glad I caught him, because then I was able to tell him how much I enjoyed watching him during the show. He was always very funny.
After he left, I wandered over to the guy with the phone (no longer on the phone). He looked up at me and said "You look very familar"
As soon as he said that, I recognized his voice, but just to be sure, I asked him if he was Kris. It looked as though he was trying very hard to figure out who I was, so I gave him a hint: "I made you a Ruhrgold bear".
After that, he knew who I was :) Kris assured me that his Ruhrgold bear was safe and sound with his other Starlight things. He did have a cute line: "We meet again, but this time we're not on skates."
Derek came out and said "hi" but then promptly got mobbed.
I returned my attention to Kris, who was not being mobbed and, of course, had the advantage of being one of my trains.
He told me that he'd found the page on my website where I'd reviewed all the different Rusty's I'd seen, and he asked if that was me that wrote it.
I told him it was, and then he proceeded to ask me why I didn't write about him. I pointed out that I hadn't seen him do Rusty so I couldn't very well write about seeing him as Rusty.
He accepted that one.
Then I asked for a hug, which he was a little reluctant to give, because he said he was all sweaty and stuff. I pointed out that it could not possibly be worse than hugging him after Starlight Express. He agreed that I had a point and I got my hug. :)
Robbie Roby (Zebulun now) came out and headed over. I got a hug from him also
Robbie told me something I already knew regarding Franklyn, and it made me go "Awww"
All of my trains are lovely
Robbie also asked me the silly question of which show I liked better. Starlight Express obviously :)
I got a Picture With my two trains.
Derek Ferguson (Benjamin) finally stopped being mobbed and came over to say Hi. He looked way tired, and he'd been out there for a long time, being mobbed, so he didn't stick around too much longer after he was in my picture
I thank him for remembering to come back over by me.
Once Derek left, that was the end of the people that I knew, but after seeing my trains again I was feeling a little more confident, so I started catching people. I didn't really talk to the other people that I caught beyond "Hi, want to be in a picture?" and "who are you"
I recognized Todd Dubail as Pharaoh right away. My mom did too. He just... looks like Pharaoh. And he is a lot taller in person than on stage...
of course, I know a certain steam engine that pulled off that illusion as well...
I look really really tiny standing next to him.
Brad Madison (Reuben) was a little difficult to catch, and I didn't recognize him, so I'm glad that he told me who he was. I love his voice though.
Considering the most important one wasn't there (You know who you are :)), and I'd already caught my trains and Derek, there was really only one other important person to catch. The person with the MOST awesome voice in the entire show.
and with her red streaked hair, she was pretty easy to spot. Seeing as how she is kinda famous (Although I would never have known who she was) she also got surrounded, but she was quite patient, and i did get my picture with Amy Adams the Narrator.
Patrick Cassidy (Joseph) and his wife, Melisa Hurley Cassidy (Mrs. Potiphar) came out with their two kids, but this was at the same time as Ms Adams, and I made my choice. :)
After they left, we did to, partially because my mom said that while I had been talking to my trains, a lot of people had slipped out.
This was fine with me, considering that if I had to choose between talking to my trains and catching everybody, I would have chosen my trains.
