I made the unitard from a KwikSew pattern, but used stretchy Crushed Velvet instead of normal lycra. Big mistake! This kind of fabric stretched only one way, so I grew out of it very soon, and it rolled, rode up, and didn't have a very nice line due to the velvety-ness.
I coloured it using fabric pastels, which worked alright, but they rubbed off of anything I sat on.
The general colour pattern was light grey, as I wasn't horribly familiar with CATS at the time and thought light grey all over would work... it didn't. So much for the Jemima look. The unitard is what later inspired my Balurina costumes.
Made from a fake fur mask, stitched rather crudely by hand, the wig was coloured with Crayola permanent markers in Orange, Gold, and Black. I haven't been able to find any of those kind of markers since, but they're wonderful for colouring wigs and are much easier to deal with than Acrylic paint.

My first tail ever was made from a long, loose braid of yarn, with generic yarn in brown, grey, black and white stuffed into it. Rather primitive way of making it, but still turned out pretty nice for what it was. The tail belt was simply braided yarn in the same colours, though it ended up much too short.
The warmers were made from fairly thin polar fleece that I got from Fabricana. I hand stitched these, as well, but being a horrible sewer when I was eleven, they fell spart a lot and so were reinforced with safety pins, as well as pinned to the unitard itself because they slid down a lot. I coloured these with a permanent marker (the smelly kind that make you pass out) and a permanent Crayola marker in a brown.
The gloves were plain cotton that I cut the fingers off of-to the second knucle-and hemmed. I coloured these with plain, thin Crayola markers with no plans or anything... another mistake on my part. The markers ran out. :-/ Oh, well...they matched the colour scheme well enough, and that's all that mattered at that point.
The shoes were black Capezio jazz shoes, with laces. I didn't need to change them at all, and the warmers went over them really well, as the hook in the front of the warmers attached to the laces on the shoes.

...This wasn't in the picture, but I used a pink ribbon tied in a bow around my neck. Apparently, it was "cute".
I used regular water-based facepaint for this-as you can see from the picture, the quality wasn't very good. (Bad makeup chart. Very bad. Thanks to Obsidia for having them for me to use, though. :) Gosh, I couldn't draw when I was eleven..)
