She bought this scoop-necked unitard in a sort of creamy-gold colour, and we painted it with burnt Sienna Acrylic paint for the base. We simply sponged the Burnt Sienna all over the unitard in places we wanted the colour to go, and it had a really nice, mottled effect when it was done. I used a fairly small brush to make the black markings on her, and in accordance to her name there's a question-mark on her hip. :) The whole paint job took about two-and-a-half hours to complete, give or take.
Well, there isn't one, first off- we put her hair in two bunches as per kittens in the OLC. We also put some copper chimmer powder in to match her unitard.
This tail is the same tail that was used in 'The Last-Minute Costume', with a few inches of length added to the top, and a new tail belt made from red and black yarn. The basic method was used for the tail.
The leg warmers were once black thermal socks that we cut the toes out of.
The arm warmers were actual arm warmers, purchased from Act One, (A Canadian Dance Chain)
Emma's shoes were fuzzy slippers with rubber soles, purchased from Sears (on sale). We coloured them with Acrylic paint. The only problem is that these shoes soak up water like sponges, but they're very cute.
Black leather with silver pyramid studs, bought from a costume shop for five dollars (Canadian).
I used White greasepaint, and copper-coloured powder from ScreenFace in London. The makeup was mostly designed by Emma, and the final product is mine.
