The GCSE Music course is based on three elements - Listening, Performance and Composition. The emphasis is placed on composing, and the pupils are encouraged to compose in a variety of styles and using various instruments. | In our GCSE groups, many styles of music are performed, from Classical to Popular to Irish Traditional. Ensemble work is also an important feature of this course. this encourages working with and listening to other performers. | |
The listening element includes all styles of music, from Renaissance through to 20th century. | ||
