The College has a well established orchestra, which takes part in many festivals and performances each year, including the annual Prize-giving Ceremony and the biannual Christmas Concert. The conductor is Mrs Dympna Donnelly. The orchestra is made up of 40-50 pupils each year, and contains all sections of an orchestra, i.e. Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion. |
The Orchestra regularly performs at school functions including Prize-giving and carol services annually. They perform a wide range of music, including popular and classical. Rehearsals take place weekly after school, and sectionals are held at lunchtimes. | The College Orchestra is a frequent participant of Coleraine Music Festival, which takes part in March of each year. The college has held the 1st prize cup for the past 5 consecutive years. The orchestra has also been successful at Ballymena and Portadown Music Festivals. |

The College Ensemble is a small group of the most talented students in the orchestra. They perform regularly at Prize-giving and Open Nights, as well as external functions, the most recent being two CCMS launches, one in the college and one in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast.
