Forgotten
Forgotten

We wait our whole lives for a past that let's us forget--
A past that leaves all lies in truth
and all hearts never crushed...
We wait our whole lives for a love that sticks around--
But when recieved, boredom becomes our only name...
We wait our whole lives for a happiness to call our own--
A happiness not fed off of someone else's sorrow...
But happiness isn't what we want--
We want a life more terrible than the next...
Pity is a game we play--
With pity you destroy the past
and gain the love you never could,
While realizing that happiness is only apathy pulled apart.
