Concert Day! We were free until 8:30, we got on the busses and went for a dress rehersal at Carnegie Hall from 9:30 to 12:15. Back to the Hotel after that and packed up. We put our luggage in two rooms, and were free until about Five when we were to meet and get ready to go. At 6:00 we were on buses. Clemson University Choir put on the Prelude Concert at 7:00, they were really great, we got to watch them. There was also a really cute tenor in their choir. 8:00 first half another group of choirs performed John Rutter's Magnificat, then Intermission. After that we took the stage and performed Christmas portions of Handel's Messiah. 10:30 all participating choirs loaded buses for the Pier and a Cruise of New York Harbor. Magnificat singers on one boat, and Messiah Performers on the Spirit of New York. We returned to the hotel at about 1:30 AM, got our carry-on's and garment bags while suitcases were loaded on busses and left for home at 2:00. Bye-Bye New York City :( Back
