Answered questions...
Submitted by Demeter: Why isn't 'Growltiger's last stand' in the Video?
Well, I think the main reason is that the video had to last only about 2 hours, and other reason was Sir John Mills age. He was quite old to do some stuff...
Submitted by Tanotmile84: Do the costumes of the characters have to be the same on every production?
There are some little differences, but the idea allways stays.
Submitted by Rosie_14: Where could I buy the soundtrack of CATS via Internet?
I think the best places to buy soundtracks of musicals are PLAYBILL and AMAZON. There are lots of soundtracks of many productions.
Submitted by Little Jemima: I have 2 questions: Why is the song 'The Rum Tum Tugger' longer in the video than in the soundtrack? The other one, do the characters have to have the same names in every production?
To the first question, I think this happens because most of the soundtracks have a selection of songs, and not the whole show. And the second question is no, the names change depending on the language of the country where the production is.

by Claudius: Who
is Firefrorefiddle, the Fiend of the Fell? Is he a real character? Also,
where does the name "Mr. Mistoffelees" and "Old Deuteronomy"
come from? Where do, in fact, a lot of the names come from? They're not all
in the book.
And where can I get
a video or something of "Growltiger's Last Stand" that was cut
from the video?
As far
as I know, "Firefrorefiddle, the Fiend of the Fell" isn't a real
character, it's just the name (in the show) of a character that Gus, the
theater Cat used to play.
For the second question, I'm not sure at all, I haven't got the book, but I
think: "Mr." is usually used as a first name on cats, and "Mistoffelees"
may come from the word "mystical". And "Deuteronomy" is
one of the books of the Bible. I suppose his name is meant to highlight the
fact that he knows a lot of things, or that he's lived since the time when
the Deuteronomy was written. Some other names come, I think, from the mix of
words (Bombalurina comes from 'Bomb' and 'Ballerina'), or from words, such
as Asparagus, which is a plant.
For your third question, I'm afraid there's not a video that contains "Growltiger's
Last Stand". That song is available in some soundtracks, and if you'd
like to read the lyrics, just click HERE.
