- Dan O'Brien and Roger Harmon at Quin Yhon in 1967.
- Roger Harmon's new house built shortly after we got to Cung Son in 1967.
- This picture was taken last year at the Indianapolis reunion. Roger Harmon on the Left, Dan O'Brien in the middle and Billy ( The Greek ) Bassakyros on the right. We hadn't seen one another since 1967.
- This photograph was taken July 5th, 1969 at the Song Trau Cau Bridge at the end of a minesweep south from LZ Max. Pictured from the left are: Kincaid - Stradal - Galaviz. Rick is in the middle. The rest of the 3rd platoon Charley Company can be seen in the background. The bridge is, I am guessing, about halfway between our LZ and Duc Pho, off of QL-1.
- Terry Rossiter served with 39th Eng. CO C. From 11-67 to 11-68. This is a picture of mine from Lz Snoopy. Taken around October of 68. From left to right, Terry Rossiter, LT., Joe, Pete. That's all I can remember of their names. Joe was from New York City, I think Pete was from North Carolina. They were all still in Nam when I left. I don't know what happened to any of them.
- This picture was taken in Terry Rossiter's hooch at lz snoopy, some time in 1968. Left is: Alfredo Tovar, center standing is a guy (possibly from Ohio), and Boston on the right.
- Duc Pho 1968. Left Lt. Fisc, Center Butch, Right Michelson. Terry Rossiter is proud to say that Butch was his squad leader in 'Nam for a while. The whole squad had a great deal of respect for him.
- Keith Decker and Butch Schwoyer highly recommend that brothers get together when ever they have the opportunity. It is well worth the effort and there is nothing better than being with another brother. They recently got together at Butch's home in Florida. This is a picture of them in front of Butch's boat.
The following picture was taken within the first three months of 1969, when the A company unit had it's location just south of Chu Lai. Looking down the company street. Believe that the orderly room message board is on the left.A kid diving for a tool that feel into the water at a bridge site. > "...The photo with the caption of "kid diving for tool that fell into the
>water at bridge site". I don't think that was a kid. There is a kid
>standing there, but those guys down there were with A Company, 39th
>Engineers. Now I may be wrong, but I remember having to go into the water
>because one of our guys, from 2nd platoon, A Company, 39th Engineers,
>dropped one of those damn tools.
> The standing rule was, if you drop it you went in after it. Well one of
>our lads dropped this tool into the water and he went in after it.
>Damndest thing was that he almost drowned. He didn't tell us that he
>didn't know how to swim. So we hauled him out of the water and I went in
>after the tool. It was a ratchet with a socket. It took some doing,
>because the river had a strong current. But the tool went straight to the
>bottom, and after about 2 attempts, I was able to find the thing. Wow,
>what a day."
