This cane was purchased
at a thrift store and was
made from a tree branch.
Smaller branches were
cut off and ivory
buttons were inserted
where the smaller branches
were removed.
This cane was purchased at
last year's gem and mineral
show and is made of a type
of rosewood which was
hand carved in Indonesia.
I had to have at least one
sword cane in my collection.
This one was made in China.
The canes below are:  1. Made from 50 cal. shell cases (from China)
                                  2. An old black lacquered cane with horn tip and 14K  gold band
                                         3. An old octagonal ebony walking stick
                                  4. A hardwood cane carved to resemble bamboo
The two old canes were purchased at thrift stores for $3.00 each.

This bamboo cane from Thailand was purchased
at a yard sale.  The handle
details show some of the many inscriptions that cover the cane.
This, last of the purchased
canes, came from this
year's gem show.  It's
from Africa and the
handle is a warthog tusk.
