The Thrift Store Belts

This buckle was once part of a drawer pull I found in the   pine barrens of southern N.J.  The belt is buffalo calf skin.

This buckle was made from a silver bolo tie I bought at a local thrift store for $1.

This belt is made of a very thick and rugose leather which I believe to be elephant skin.  The brass buckle replaces the original which was covered with the same leather.

This belt is made from beluga whale skin and the buckle (from a different thrift store belt) is nikel silver

Handmade Buckles

This buckle was made from different sized brass tubes which were brazed together ahd shaped.

This is a Navajo silver buckle purchased during our first trip to the Grand Canyon.
