Buffy sat in her room, home.
Life wasn't going her way anymore
and
Angel had taken their day back. Riley had left her. What did she
have? Nothing. No Riley, no Angel, no life, just slayerlife.
It was time to change her life. She had been studying magic. Now it
was time to change her future.
She chanted something in Latin and suddenly a light appeared in her
room. Out of it, Angel came. `It worked!'
- What happened? Angel asked. How did I come to your room?
- A spell. Tell me one thing, do you still love me?
- Buffy, you know….
- Just say it!
- I still love you.
- Still want to spend your life with me?
He just nodded.
- Good.
Buffy pulled Angel closer to her so they were sitting next to each
other and she started talk again.
- Upon the Gods of time, hear my wish. Take us back in time. Bring
us back to Galway in Ireland and 1747. Take us back there! I order
you! Now!
Another light was seen in Buffy's room and suddenly she and Angel
was gone.
- It worked! I did it!
She looked around and there was Angel, and the 18 century clothes.
Those clothes were what she was going to hate the most. She herself
was wearing one of those dresses….
Angel sat up, breathing heavily, and starred at Buffy. She had used
magic? It wasn't like her to do such a thing. After pulling
himself
together he stood up and walked over to her. She was standing there,
looking at him.
- Wanna tell me what just happened?
- Isn't it obvious? We are back in time, Galway 1747. You are
twenty
years old and known as Liam McKellon.
- I got that part. The question is, why?
Buffy didn't know what to say. She wanted him for herself?
- I was too bored with my life and wanted something I couldn't
have.
Here I can.
- Me?
- You, yes.
- You realize you have to wear dresses all the time, speak nicely
and play dutiful wife all the time?
- Easy, you'll be my husband so I'll like it.
- I hope the guys in L.A. will be okay now.
- Angel, it's 1747, she said with the sweetest voice ever. They
aren't even born yet so don't worry.
- Liam! Where have you been?
It was a young woman around 18. `Probably his sister.'
- I have just been out for a walk, Cathy. I'm fine.
- You have been gone for five hours. Mother and father are worried.
- Five hours?!
- Yes.
She noticed his company.
- Who is your lady?
- This is Anne Summers. A very good friend of mine.
- I'm Cathy McKellon, nice to meet you.
- You too, Cathy.
The three of them walked back to the McKellon mansion. It was huge.
Angel had never told her much about his family. A woman around 43
came and hugged her son.
- Liam, you might be 20 now but sometimes you act like you were 10.
Don't take walks for five hours.
- I'm sorry mother. I ran into an interesting woman and she kept
me
busy.
- And this lady you ran into is the one who is standing by your side
right now? She asked with a smile.
- Yes, this is Anne Summers. Anne, this is my mother, Lucy
McKellon.
Buffy, now Anne, felt like home immediately. `Maybe I really can
get
used to this kind of life.'
- You are welcome to stay for dinner if you would like, Lucy said.
- Thanks.
Liam shot her a look immediately.
- I mean, thank you, Mrs. McKellon.
- Liam, could you show her the guestroom? She looks a bit
tired.
- Of course mother.
`I would love if the guest room meant his bed! Bad thoughts Anne,
it's different here.'
He took her hand and led her away from the kitchen. A few rooms away
he opened a door. The room was very huge. Like the living room home
in Sunnydale. She looked around for a few minutes and then sat down
on the bed and Liam joined her.
- Not regretting your little magic are you?
- No, we can have a life here, she said. You mother seems pretty
cool.
- Remember we don't use words like cool here. And yes, she is
great.
So is dad.
- I look forward to meet him.
They shared a kiss. He left her so she could find a more comfortable
dress.
In the kitchen Liam was
talking to his mother and sister. The
subject was Anne.
- What do you think of her?
- She seems to be a wonderful woman, Lucy said.
- I agree with you, Cathy said. How old is she?
- She is nineteen. Her birthday is 19 January. I have actually known
her since she was 16.
- As your sister I feel I have the right to know if you are going to
marry her, she teased.
- Cathy! Lucy shot her a look.
- No, I was going to come to that anyway. I'm going to ask her to
marry me.
- You really need someone, my son.
- I really love her. She makes me so happy.
Just than Anne came into the room. Everyone became quiet.
- Am I interrupting anything? I can come back later if you want.
Liam went up to here and kissed her cheek and whispered.
- Don't leave. I'll tell you later. (Then he talked so all in
the
room heard) Let's eat.
They all got seated at the table and Liam's father joined them as
well. He liked Anne as well and they got along very well.
After dinner she remembered
she hadn't told her angel she
remember
thanksgiving. He had the right to know so…
- Liam, can I please have a word with you alone outside?
- Of course. Mother, father, the dinner was excellent. Thank you.
He and Buffy went out and away from the mansion. Once alone they
started to kiss. `Finally alone' Buffy thought.
- I want you so much, my Angel. Now we finally can have each other.
- I really hate to say this but we can't jump into bed before we
are
married.
- This is the part of this world I hate.
- But when we are, nothing can stop us.
- That's right. So when are we getting married?
Angel took out their Claddagh rings. He had saved them.
- I saved your ring after I came back from hell. Now it seems like
it comes to its use.
- It sure does.
- Buffy my love, will you marry me next Friday?
- Of course I will, Angel.
- Good.
They started kiss again and let their hands wander for a while.
They stood there afterwards and just watched the moon. This was so
perfect. No demons, no vampires, no hell mouth, no werewolves…
Just
them, together, both human. It came to Buffy's mind again.
Thanksgiving.
- I have to tell you something Angel.
- Sure, I'm listening.
She was just going to say it.
-I remember thanksgiving.
- What?! And you still want me?
- Yeah, Angel, you did what you felt was right. I can't blame you
for that.
- Thank you Buffy.
- Your welcome, besides I have you human now.
- Yeah, you have. Before we get married we have to talk about
everything. You see, I haven't got this whole being-back-in-time-
thing yet.
- How do you think it is for me? It's totally new for me, you
have
at least lived here
before.
- True. But you will feel like home very soon. Just remember how to
speak and behave. A single woman here isn't respected. You are
supposed to be home, take care of our kids and be a wonderful wife.
- I know. Alone with me you are Angel, with others; Liam.
- You catch up quickly.
- Of course.
They went back in and joined the others.
Liam told them that he was marrying Anne and his parents and sister
approved.
- Finally I get someone to have girl talks with, Cathy said happily.
Later that night Liam had
just left Anne's room and she was just
going to sleep when she heard a knock on the door. She went over and
opened. It was Cathy.
- Come in Cathy.
- Thank you.
- What can I do for you?
- I just wanted to talk.
- Be my guest, I do not have anything I have to do.
- No, except to make my brother happy.
- I will Cathy.
- Of course.
They chatted for about an hour about how Anne met Liam and Anne to
put up a lie about that. It would not fit to say that the first time
she met Liam she kicked his ass. Instead she made up a story that
they had met on the market. She had been walking around with a
basket of apples and he had accidentally rushed in to her. They had
laughed and then he had paid her new apples and followed her home.
Two days later Anne was out in the garden. She and Cathy were
talking about the wedding. A dress was being sewed for Anne and it
was really beautiful.
- Let me see if I get this right, first we have the wedding, then
the feast and then you drag my dear brother away and make him happy!
- Hey! I didn't say that. I said I wanted him to be perfect lover
on
our wedding night.
- Do you think it hurts much? You know, the first time?
- If I tell you this, think you can keep a secret?
- Sure…
- We have already done it. It hurts a little at first but afterwards
you're in heaven.
- You have already done it?! Are you insane?
- Be quiet, keep your voice down. We knew already than that we were
soul mates. I didn't want to wait until our future wedding night.
We
loved each other.
- I believe you.
- Thank you.
Little later Liam came out
and Cathy left them alone.
- What brings you out here, Angel?
- What can I say? Everything.
- I get it; you want to talk about our past life in Sunnydale.
- That's pretty much it. Buffy, he said and sat down in the
grass, I
love you and you know that. I just think that what you did was a
little rush. Not that I'm not happy about it but it happened to
fast.
- You wanted me to call you and talk about it before I did anything?
- I don't know. I just want to talk about us. We went through so
much and look where we ended up. In my old life in Ireland. It's
kinda funny.
- Yeah, first I kicked your ass, we became lovers, you became
Angelus, I sent you to hell…
- I came back, we got back together, you could read my thoughts,
graduation…
- Thanksgiving, Adam and finally Riley leaving me after a huge
fight.
- What a life. I don't want to go through it again.
- We won't, she said and lay down on her back. We will get
married,
have a bunch of kids and live happily ever after.
Angel began caress her bare arm. She smiled up at him and let him
continue with the caressing. He leaned down and kissed her deeply.
After they had broken apart Buffy sat up and enjoyed her lover's
arms for a time.
It was time for the wedding.
Anne and Cathy were giggling about how
happy they were about Liam getting married and how lucky Anne felt.
She was finally had her one true love, who was human now.
As the ceremony went on Buffy glanced at Angel all the time. Here
they were, finally getting married. After so long time of trouble in
Sunnydale and Los Angeles they had made it. They were together and
were going to spend their lives with each other. Angel would grow
old with her. They would watch their children grow up and their
grandchildren. They circle of life was going to continue, forever.
The end
