Title: Whenever You Call

Author: Nicky

Email: nickypoo2004@yahoo.com

Feedback: Please send. It makes me feel all good and stuff, and it makes you feel good. Right?

Timeline: Season Six

Distribution: To all the lists that I am on, you have the right to take it. To anyone else just email me, and I will give it to you.

Synopsis: Buffy is sitting in the Bronze, and Angel comes. Complete fluff. Well sorta....

Spoilers: Since there are mentions of Buffy's death, and her mothers death, I would say season five spoilers.

Disclaimer: I don't own Buffy never have. Mariah Carey owns her songs. The more fan fic you write, the more tiring these disclaimers become. I remember the day when I used to be able to make these things funny.

Author's Notes: This is actually a repost of this story, but hey...I am sending it out again. I know I should be working on my series, but I am a procrastinator! Forgive me! I heard this song by Mariah Carey and I swear it is the prettiest song I have ever heard. I cried. But this song most fitted B/A. Enjoy! And ooh, ooh, Easter colors.

The Bronze

Buffy danced slowly to the music. It had felt like forever since she had been to the bronze. In highschool she had practically lived here. She smiled wistfully as swayed to the music. A slow song began to radiate out of the speakers, and couples who had been lazily resting on the sidelines began to flock out on to the dance floor. Buffy looked uncomfortably around. She didn't have anybody to dance with and she was beginning to feel more uncomfortable than she could ever remember feeling. She tiredly sat in a chair. 'No Angel...no Riley...no one for Buffy' She bitterly thought. A strong female voice began to sing in time with the music. 'Mariah Carey, queen of the sap songs!'Buffy thought as she rested her head on her palm.

Love wandered inside

Stronger than you

Stronger than I

And now that it has begun

We cannot turn back

We can only turn into one

A tear ran down Buffy's cheek. She wanted to be loved so badly. But she wasn't a normal girl, and only normal girls got their prince. Angel. She wanted Angel again. She wondered what he was doing right now. Would they ever be together again? A tinge of familiarity ran through Buffy's chest. She looked into the darkness of the club. All she could see was happy people dancing to a song that described her life. She looked sadly down at the table like a child who didn't get something they deserved.

I won't ever be too far away to feel you

And I won't hesitate at all

Whenever you call

And I'll always remember

The part of you so tender

I'll be the one to catch your fall

Whenever you call

Buffy felt a gentle tap on her shoulder. She slowly turned her head. "Will, I am not in the mood to talk." She solemnly whispered. A deep chuckle sounds from behind her. Buffy looks up with tears in her eyes. Angel stares gently back.

"Hello, Buffy." He softly said. She smiles, and nods in reply. "Would you like to dance?" Buffy's eyes widen. Angel holds out his hand in quiet offering. Buffy takes his hand gently in her own. Her body raises weakly and they walk towards the dance floor. Her shoulders shake with sobs. Angel whispers in her ear. "I love this song. It is like the story of us." He gently sings the words into her ear. Buffy smiles. Angel singing a love song in her ear-she had to be dreaming.

"Your way off key." She jokingly said. Angel laughs and clasps Buffy's hip tighter.

And I'm truly inspired

Finding my soul

There in your eyes

And you have opened my heart

And lifted me inside

By showing me yourself

Undisguised

"I have missed you so much Angel." He remains silent. "After mom died, and I...died...that sounds so weird. I died. I died." She gulped, Angel nods in encouragement. "Well, things were...hard."

Angel ran his free hand down her soft cheek. A tear runs down his pale fingers. He wipes it away. "I know, somehow, I could feel you. Everything you felt, I felt.." Buffy looks queerly in his eyes. "You were in so much pain. You never told anyone. No one ever knew. But, I felt your emotions more strongly than my own. We were one. It was so scary!" Buffy laughed.

And I won't ever be too far away to feel you

And I won't hesitate at all

Whenever you call

And I'll always remember

That part of you so tender

I'll be the one to catch your fall

Whenever you call

"I know the feeling." Buffy rested her head on his broad shoulder. They swayed in time with the music. People on the sidelines began to stare at the way they were so involved with each other. It was strange how they moved together, like they knew what each other was thinking and feeling. People pointed, but neither of them noticed.

And I will breathe for you each day

Comfort you through all the pain

Gently kiss your fears away

Mmm

You can turn to me and cry

Always understand that I

Give you all that I am inside

Buffy began to cry again and Angel ran a hand comfortingly down her back. She sucked in her air. A sob escaped Angel's lips. Buffy looked up at him. He was crying...in front of her.

And I won't ever be too far away to feel you

And I won't hesitate at all

Whenever you call

"It could never work! Me and you." Buffy shook her head.

"It has to! I can't live another day without you. I can't live another day in the dark!" She touched his face. "S-T-A-Y W-I-T-H M-E!" She whispered vehemently. Angel shook his head. He couldn't hear these things he couldn't be tempted.

"I have lived in the dark for so long. I don't know if I can stay with you. Your world is so different then mine." Buffy grabbed his hand and put it to her heart.

"But you know my heart. You are my world. You see me! You see me." She repeated. Angel kissed her lips softly.

"I will always see you. Always." Buffy smiled.

I won't ever be too far to feel you

And I won't hesitate at all

Whenever you call I'll always remember

That part of you so tender

And be the one to catch your fall

"Stay with me?" She whispered. Angel lips curled into a smile.

"Forever. Hey, I could use a little light!" He happily said. Buffy grinned.

"You are pretty pale." He laughed and the music played on...as always.

Whenever you call

Whenever you call

Whenever you call
