TR-4

This was a nearly complete TR-4. It had a removable surrey hardtop that has no rear glass and had been damaged, but was repairable. The top and the damage are pictured. This car had been reworked once and was repaired with popriveted aluminum sheets in several places. The front end had obvious body damage. There were no bumpers. The interior was rough and weathered from outside storage. There were rust holes in both the rear floor and the trunk floor. There was no transmission cover. The engine had no carburetors. The intake manifold, generator and brake calipers were in the trunk. The odometer showed 96,000 miles. There was no radiator. The drive line was complete and it was up on 4 tires. The gauges and steering wheel were intact though the wheel is weathered. There was a second wheel in the trunk along with other miscellaneous. The windshield was cracked. This was really a parts car, not complete, but with a few extra parts. No Title.

This vehicle was in Michigan, but has since sold.

The surrey top is the real feature.

The top rail of the rear surrey frame was broken (see picture below) and will need to be welded at both ends. The window gasket was present and perhaps useable, but is weathered. The surrey top itself has been dented one one corner, but could straighten out easily. (See third picture below) The headliner was in place but needs some repair or replacement.
