Way back in 1992 I was living in Cook Rd. Marrickville with a young lass who's name was Janne (I think that's still her name, I'll check though).

We had a huge back yard that was just screaming to be dug up and shat in by a young puppy. An ex-boyfriend of Janne's had a 6 month old puppy that he could no longer keep and so we inherited a cross blue cattle huskie called Roy.

We both thought that Roy was a bit of a silly name and so we decided to rename him. Janne is of Danish decent and thought that Torban would be a nice name as it is Danish for Toby. I thought that everyone would think his name was Taubman - as in the brand of paint - but Janne said that was silly. To this day people still think that he is named after a tin of paint.

None the less, I love him to pieces and so this page has a few cool pics of him for all to go Ahhhh at...

Here we are out for a walk in the rubble left over after the world ended. that's the Sydney skyline in the background. I tried to get Torban to wear a gas mask as well but he wasn't having any of it.

Oh look, He thinks he's people... As much as I hate that expression it does sort of apply to Toban a lot of the time. The girl in the fore ground is Julia who I also lived with at Cook Rd. If I remember this was taken after a party we had, so it's no wonder that Torby is pooped.

Hey! Stop checkin out my buns! Always the poser, this is one of Torban's seductive tail photo's. What a cutie!

Being part huskie gives Torban the ability to rip your arms from their sockets if you attempt to take him for a walk. I used to tie him to the front of a fully laden shopping trolley and get him to drag me and the trolley home which was uphill. A friend of mine was almost broke his arm and did break his skateboard after we got the bright idea of letting him drag us along on the thing.

All in all he's a pretty cool dog. He won't touch food that's left lying about and he knows which parts of the house he's allowed into or not. He will sit and go outside if you ask him too and is always ready for a belly scratch. I get the impression that most of the people that visit me actually come to see him. But that's okay cause all his friends are pretty cool people.

Well that's enough soppy cutness from him!
You'd better go back and check out the rest of my sight.
