The only thing prison is proven to cure is heterosexuality...sez the badger.
I have always felt that law enforcement should not be a 'for profit' enterprise.
I cite crime statistics, cost analysis and the obvious failure of the current system
to do the job it was meant to do.
As more and more civil liberties are eroded by laws that don't do what it was promised
they would do, it becomes more apparent that our current system is a failure.
Much of the blame can be laid to the illegal and morally bankrupt 'War on Drugs'.
Most of the world has a much more intelligent
and civilized attitude than can be found in this country.
Anyway, check this site. It makes these points much more forcefully than I could hope to.
