This site begins with biographical information About the Author. This is followed by Character Analyses of the main characters in the novel. In the Themes and Themes Continued sections this site lists a wider variety of themes within Lord Of The Flies than any of the other sites I visited. Some of these include; The Need For Civilization, Innocence and the Loss of It, Power, Fear of the Unknown, Blindness and Sight. Each of these suggested themes are supported with chapter references and quotations from the book. In the section on Setting, the island is described and accompanied by a sketch, labelling the important features such as the place of Piggy's death and the scar. Finally is a succinct summary of The Plot of the novel as a whole. This is a fairly limited site with regard to teaching resources, but is still worth visiting for its wide-ranging analysis of the novel's themes.
