RICKY JAMES DAVIS, JR.

Ricky was our first-born and a true joy. From the moment he entered this world he took it by the horns and made it his own. He was his own person from the beginning. At age 16 we found that he had a kidney disease. After his kidneys failed in 1998 and he went on dialysis his love for his daughter kept him going. He went through alot in the 3 years that he lived after beginning dialysis, but he was truly a stong and courageous young man. We didn't get the chance to tell him what an inspiration he was to us in all that he went through and faced, but he knew that we loved him with all our hearts.

His daughter will always know that she was loved by her daddy. In the 5 short years that she got to share with him he made such a difference in her life and gave her the confidence to be her own person and it happens to be alot like him.

We will never be the same since he left and we will forever hold him in our hearts, minds, spirit and soul. We will miss him and his talent, his smile, his crazy sense of humor, his smart-alec mouth, his handsome face and that big old heart he carried around.

Son, we wish you peace and rest for you body, soul and spirit because we know that you fought a long, hard battle to live and we know you were tired. We love you son . . . .now and forever!

I BELIEVE

Every now and then, soft as breath upon my skin I feel you come back again and it's like you haven't been gone a moment from my side; like the tears were never cried; like the hands of time are holding you and me. And with all my heart I'm sure we're closer than we ever were. I don't have to hear or se. I have all the proof I need. There are more than angels watching over me. I believe . . .
