To My Daughter

Sixteen years ago, God sent me a star.
That beautiful star was my daughter.
She shined so brightly with every smile.
God called for his star to go home.
Where she will shine even brighter.

She brought me so much joy and love.
She made me proud to be her mother.
I may not have been there for her in body.
But I was always with her in love and spirit.
I hope she knew how much I loved her.

Now as my daughter is shining above me,
I often think that we have traded places.
She is not here with me in body,
But I know that her love will be with me.
She will shine inside my heart forever.

I love you Sandra, with all my heart.
