Grieving Parents
2005 Retreat

Pavo, Georgia

The retreat was held in February at the home of Karyl and Ronnie Beal. Parents from the United States and Canada arrived by car, plane and bus. A schedule that allowed for parents to get together as a whole group as well as in small groups was loosely followed. Lunch and dinner were catered, so sharing time was not interrupted by meal preparation. Everyone pitched in to clean up. A Peace Fire Ceremony including music and readings was held on Saturday night. Notes to our children were placed into the fire as their names were read and we focused our minds and hearts on each child.

Stars: Perhaps, they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven, where the love of our lost ones pours down through and shines upon us to let us know they are happy.      ~Inspired by Eskimo Legend
