Hello Ladies,

I hope this reaches you in good health and happiness! OK…I know, I know, I know. I’m a procrastinator. I can’t help it. It’s in my blood! I am including all updates today as far as emails. The pics are still being “resized, formatted…etc” so when those are done I will send a little note out to check the Picture pages! Lots of updates and new fun stuff! First of all…I have good news to announce from me. Many of you got to see me the end of December…well, since then I have lost 35 pounds. WOOHOO! I would be thrilled with 15 more, but satisfied with 10. I have been working very hard at it. I slacked the last 2 weeks, but am ready to hit the treadmill again! Anyway….I was able to hang out with Christie, Erin, Dana and Mel about a month ago. We hooked up with several other friends at Ameristar to hear Erin’s step-dad Joe, play some wonderful music with his band. The Salt and Peppers! It was a lot of fun! Kinda like old times, the ones you wish you could go back to, but one night is really enough! Your body never recoups the same as the old days! Haha! I have been bowling on the work bowling league…I totally stick at it, but my brother is on the team and we have been having fun getting to hang out once a week! Well, the only new news in my life is I will find out if I am President of the Sigma Kappa alumnae in KC for a 2nd year in April. It’s looking pretty positive. (ie….no one else is running). This June I am going to Arizona for my first Sigma Kappa Convention. It will be hotter than fire, but should be fun all the same! Would you believe I have to find a White dress???? I gave that away in the Sigma Wills for a reason!!! (actually if I remember correctly Deb Deily got that from me…) Anyway, enough about me…here’s about you!!!

Vivian sent me an email about a new addition to our list. Missy Glassmaker. She is a producer for Channel 5 News (NBC) in St. Louis. You can email her at missygl@agtelco.com. Send her a note! Melissa Cicero is doing well and moved into a new home in December. Her new address is in the Word Doc I send out…if you want a new one, email me and I’ll send it. I just don’t like putting addresses on the internet.

Great news from the Rice Family…William Brady (they call him Brady) was born December 29th. He weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz. And was 21 inches long. Congrats to Bill and Karen on their new bundle of joy!!!

Another new gal to the list of Sigma’s, Melissa Abell emailed me. She is currently is travelling with Claire Tyberend and has been doing so for 3 ½ years. They are both nurses at the Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital in New Hampshire and living in Vermont. You can email Melissa at lookout_maa@yahoo.com. And Melissa, send me those pics you raved about!

Kerry Hartzell sent me a nice note…hers I am going to have to copy, “ALOHA EVERYONE!!! JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW WE WENT AND SAW MISS JANET JACKSON IN CONCERT LAST NIGHT, AND IT WAS SO AWESOME!!! THE SHOW WAS TAPED FOR AN HBO SPECIAL THAT WILL BE AIRING TONIGHT, I THINK AROUND 7PM. SO THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK IT OUT, ALTHOUGH WE HAD GREAT SEATS, I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE US, BUT THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE COOL FOR YOU TO SEE SOME OF THE SHOTS THEY DID WHERE I LIVE. I HEARD THEY WERE DOING SOME FILMING AROUND THE ISLAND ALL WEEK FOR THE SHOW. AND ON ANOTHER NOTE, WE ARE FINALLY GETTING SOME WEDDING PLANS IN MOTION. WE ARE GETTING MARRIED ON JULY 19TH IN WAILEA, MAUI. WE WILL STILL BE HAVING A RECEPTION IN KANSAS CITY, BUT DON'T HAVE ANY DATES OR DETAILS ON THAT YET. THE PLACE I PICKED TO GET MARRIED IS IN THIS BEAUTIFUL COVE CALLED MAKENA COVE, THE SITE IS JUST BREATHTAKING, I CAN'T THINK OF ANY OTHER WAY TO DESCRIBE IT. WE WILL HAVE A DINNER/RECEPTION AT THE SEAWATCH RESTAURANT THAT GOES UP IN THE VALLEY, SITS ON A GOLF COURSE AND OVERLOOKS THE OCEAN, AND MOUNTAINS. I ALSO GOT MY WEDDING DRESS, I LOVE IT, AND KNEW IT WAS "THE ONE" AS SOON AS I TRIED IT ON, BUT NO DETAILS THERE, IT WILL HAVE TO BE A SURPRISE! WE WILL BE SPENDING A WEEK IN MAUI WITH OUR PARENTS, SIBLINGS AND WHOEVER CAN COME FROM OUR WEDDING PARTY. THEN WE WILL GO TO KAUI FOR A FEW NIGHTS, ALONE, FOR A MINI HONEYMOON. WHEN WE DO FINALIZE THE RECEPTION STUFF I WILL LET YOU KNOW. WE WILL PLAN TO SPEND 1 WEEK IN MISSOURI, THEN HEAD TO CANADA FOR 1 WEEK, HIS FAMILY WILL HAVE SOMETHING THERE FOR US AS WELL. LOOKS LIKE WE WILL BE CELEBRATING THIS THING FOR MONTHS!!! NO COMPLAINTS FROM ME! WELL, I HOPE YOU ALL ARE DOING WELL, AND STAYING WARM. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT HAS BEEN A CHILLY WINTER HERE. I WAS RECENTLY WEARING A TURTLENECK SWEATER. IT HAS BEEN IN THE 60'S AT TIMES, EVEN HIGH 50'S. I REALIZE YOU ALL ARE PROBABLY ROLLING YOUR EYES AT ME RIGHT NOW, BUT THAT IS COLD FOR HERE. I DON'T KNOW IF I WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE OUT THERE IN THE REAL WORLD AGAIN, I HAVE BECOME TO SPOILED HERE…TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES AND I WRITE MORE LATER, LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU, AND SEEING YOU BEFORE TOO LONG!!! Good news from the Stecher family. Collin Richard was born on February 28th at 12:28pm. He weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long. Future Delta Tau Delta! Mommy and baby are doing great! CONGRATS TO BETH STECHER (HARDESTY) AND HUBBY, KEVIN!

I heard from Elizabeth Birdsall, after I told her I changed my email address…she didn’t like that too well. As a matter of fact, she told me “Stop changing your addresses, I have white out an inch thick on your page”. Guilty… Anway, she is doing well. She has been planning the wedding and getting stressed along with it! Her wedding date is May 18th and I can only imagine how beautiful she will be! Congrats Bird, I can’t wait to see you!

Sara Robeson (Vogt) wanted to let me (and the Sigmas) know that Scott and her are having a baby! They are THRILLED! Baby Robeson is due July 1st. And the Aunts-to-be along with all grandparents-to-be are getting anxious for the first Grandbaby! YEAH VOGT! CONGRATS TO YOU AND SCOTT!!!!

Well, That’s it…I have all the Christmas pics to add, some baby pics to add and I’ve got a couple Pics from Christmas Cards I thought everyone would like to see! If I can get more motivated, I found some great old pics to scan and post for fun! If you have a couple of those, email them to me…I’m sure we could all use a great laugh!!!
