John Francis Bongiovi was born March 2nd 1962,
in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, USA.
He is 178 cm of true Italian Stalliondom.
John attended Sayreville War Memorial High school in Sayreville New Jersey.
He hated school.
He loved to play guitar and steal his best friend
Bobby's Girl.
The year 1982 brought Jon, and David Rashbaum to Hollywood California with
no money, and a little demo called "Runaway."
Eventually, A New York City DJ put the song on a local record, and the rest as Richie would say
is History!
In 1984, for the release of his first band album Jon changed his name to
"Jon Bon Jovi", because, it seems, no one could pronounce "John Bongiovi".
The album was called Bon Jovi, and the band Bon Jovi have been around
ever since.

On April 29th 1989,
Jon married his highschool sweetheart,
Dorothea Rose Hurley in Vegas.
They have three beautiful children,
Stephanie Rose (5/31/93),
Jesse James Louis (2/19/95),
and Jacob Hurley (5/07/02)
Jon was one of the last people to be hand picked by Gianni Versace to model for Versace's clothing line before Versace's untimely death.

In 2001 the band was back at GIANTS STADIUM in New Jersey for two sold out shows,
July 26th and 27th.
