Child's Play

Betty didn't wear her mask

to school today.

She was horribly different

from children at play.

She sat rigidly still

and refused to pray.

And just as the prayer

started to begin,

She stood up so small

and thin confessing

she didn't believe in sin.

The teacher was shocked

as the students gathered 'round.

They picked up clubs

and beat Betty down.
