The Shoe Box

Under the bed, just

out of arm's reach.

A red and blue box

hides behind shoes

outgrown years ago.

Inside the box is

a love letter from

the seventh grade.

He said he really

wanted to kiss me

at the dance last

night, but he lost

the nerve.
