"Will, you're looking at that shirt like you are going
to throw up on it. What's going on?", Tara asked as she entered the
room. "This used to be one of my favorites, before...." "Before Master?", Tara asked. "Yes. The sense of style is one of the best thing about being one of his girls.", Willow said sadly. "Agreed, we both needed it. Why the sad face honey, what's going on?", Tara asked. |
Willow threw down the green shirt in disgust, "How 'bout
this?!", she shouted, almost in a panic, "does this look less
like something Master would like?" "Willow, stop. Tell me what is going on", Tara demanded, "why do you want to wear something Master wouldn't like? Why are you so upset?" Tara was really worried at this point. "I shouldn't tell you. It would be better if you didn't know", Willow whispered. |
"Will, it's me, it's Tara. You can trust me", she
said softly. "Master is losing his power" Tara's heart sank, "What?" "It's true, he's giving too much away. The San Fran witches introduced him to some girl who had amazing hypnotic aptitude. He increased her power ten fold, but he is drained. One of the San Fran witches is in, the other has gone with the new girl. Faith is probably |
out, and we know Giles freed Buffy. Us, Joyce, Anya, and Phoebe
from San Fran could be all that's left. Oh gawd Tara, I'm so scared, what
if his power starts to wear off us?", Willow said, breaking down into
tears. "Shhh", comforted Tara, bringing Willow close, "we won't let that happen. What's with the clothes?" "Well", Willow sniffled, trying hard to dry her eyes,"I might have a plan" "That's my girl, what is it?" |
"It involves me going under cover. That's why I'm searching
for the best 'non-masterish' outfit. I want to make it look like I'm not
his anymore" "To who?" "That part I'm not sure of yet. Either Faith or Buffy, whomever seems more freed of him" "Then what" "Then I have to get one of them to kill him" "WHAT?! Willow no!" |
"No, no don't worry. I've found a portal that will bring
him back to the exact same place he was killed at. The point is, he needs
to go back to the Netherworld to recharge." "How do you know he'll go to the Netherworld instead of hell?" "That's why I need Buffy or Faith. Someone who was once his lover, but now wants him dead. Death by betrayal is one of the things that can lead to an nether |
world existence. You know, wrongful death kind of stuff. The
same concept that keeps ghosts around." "Ok, I'm with you, but one thing, how long will it take him to recharge?" Willow looked down, dejected, "two hundred years" Tara gasped. Apparently Willow didn't have all the bugs worked out. "At least he'll come back...", Willow said sheepishly, trying to be optimistic. |
"I'm glad you talked to me before you did this, I can fix the time
thing" "How?", Willow asked. "Well, I can probably fix it. I read something a little while ago about dislinking time continuums between portals. Sorcerers used to use it long ago to banish other sorcerers and witches. See, banishing to another dimension was a good way to get rid of another magical being, especially those who were invincible. The problem was, you were usually banishing someone skilled in the ways of magic, and they could more often than not find their way out of the prison |
dimension, back to this one. Therefore, the sorcerers used
to dislink the time continuum. That meant if the banished creature was gone
for a day in the other dimension, it could be 50 years in this dimension.
Saving the village, blah blah blah. What I'm thinking is, maybe I could
reverse that, making 200 years just a blink of an eye in this dimension." "This is why I love you!", Willow said, as Tara pulled her in for a kiss. |
With Mary, Priscilla, and Detective Howard firmly under her
power, Cassandra felt she was ready to track down Pru Haliwell, and begin
tracking down this supposed "Mummy". "Jeffrey", Cassandra said (that was Det. Howard's first name), "what did you find out about Pru Haliwell?" "She has a large file with us, but not of criminal activity, she's been involved with a number of investigations, working with Det. Morris. |
Cassandra stood up and started pacing the room, as she did,
each of the other three people in the room stared lustfully at her feminine
curves. "Jeffrey, is Det. Morris in this precinct?" "Yes, he's here today as a matter of fact" "Excellent, find him and bring him here now" "Yes Cassandra", Det. Howard replied. He burst out of the room as the women waited inside. As he got to the front desk, he frantically asked where Det. Morris was. |
When the attending desk officer to Howard that Det. Morris
was at lunch, she could see the bald detective become red with fury. "Get him here NOW dammit!", he fumed. The officer was about to explain that there was nothing she could do, when Det. Morris came off the elevator. "Calm down Jeff, there he is", she said. Det. Howard turned and felt a rush of relief. "Daryl, Daryl, come here, I need you!", he shouted. |
Emergencies and shouting were par for the course in the precinct, so
Daryl didn't get too riled up. In fact he just continued on to his desk
so he could eat the sandwich he just got. |
you sure that whoever is in your office is part of what she's running
from?", Daryl asked. "Let's find out, come talk to her" "Sure, let me just down this hoagie, I'm starved" "Dammit Daryl, I don't want to make her wait! Come now!", Jeff shouted. Daryl didn't put up a fight. Jeff was acting strange, and Daryl wanted to find out who was behind all of this. |
Det. Howard ran from Daryl's desk to his office. Daryl walked behind him. He saw Howard dart into his office and say something to a woman. Daryl looked at the woman and his heart stopped. Even 30 feet away, through the window of Howard's office, he could tell she was stunning. Maybe that's why Howard was acting so weird, maybe he had a hard on for some chick. Daryl was getting a little firm himself just looking at her. Still it was strange though, Howard had never |
been the type to let anyone affect him like that. As Daryl got closer,
the woman turned to see him. For a brief second, through the half opened
door, their eyes met. Daryl felt what seemed like a bolt of electricity
go through him. It was unreal. |
