It had been three hours since Dennis first pulled out his watch. Cindy had gone under easily, as he had prayed she would. She went under quite deeply as well. Dennis worked with her subconcious. Molding her thoughts with his words. His approach was calculated and rehearsed. He had been over it in his head so many times over the last few years. He found out her most intimate secrets. Who she wanted to be, what she wanted in a man, her desires, and her fears. Using that information, he built an image of himself in her mind. He was the perfect man to her, every thing her ex was not.

With each number she heard, Cindy could feel her cheeks a little bit more. They hurt from smiling so much. She was starting to come back to the world around her. Dennis was waking her now. Part of her didn't want to leave the warm world of floating he had built for her. He could bring her back there though, anytime he wanted. Right now he was going to bring her back to the real world. To be with him. She was so happy about that. When she awoke she'd be able to begin her life with Dennis. She wanted nothing more than to make him happy. Tonight, and for the rest of his life.

"...and one. Wide awake now", he said. Cindy blinked twice, then saw him again. It was like she was seeing him for the first time. She quickly embraced him with all her might.
"Thank you Dennis, thank you so much sweetheart. I have loved you since the first day I met you. I know that now."
"I love you too Cindy, I always have"
And with that they kissed. Slowly, and gently at first. It was a kiss Dennis had dreamed about for a quarter century. But the fantasy had paled in comparison to the reality of the moment.

The kissing turned more passionate. Soon they were in Cindy's bedroom. She had never loved like this before. It was an all consuming, all encompassing love. Her passion for Dennis bordered on obsession.
They were married a few months later. There were a number of shocked Montclair High Alumni in attendence. There were a lot of former RCCC (Remote Control Car Club) members who hoped somehow the same magic could strike for them and some of the former cheerleaders. It of course didn't.
They had a long and happy marriage. There was a lot of love in the family. Dennis truly loved Cindy. Cindy truly loved Dennis. Regardless of how her love started, the kindness and romance he had shown in the years after their fateful date was far more endearing than any post hypnotic suggestion could ever be. That's not to say he didn't use his hypnotic influence on his bride though. There were some arguments ended, and some kinky sexual acts tried (including one with a waitress they met on their honeymoon). There was one other hypnotic suggestion that never wore off. Cindy never once called her husband Denny.
