My great-grandfather, Reverend
Courtland Columbus Jackson,
wrote this poem when he was twenty-one
years old.
A family member has the original document,
which is fragile and torn, with pieces
missing on the right-hand side
of the document. I have
filled in five of the
rhyming words,
which I believe
to be correct.
