Diamonds In The Dark
It was in my darkest hour when I was threatened by despair
that I sought God in the Heavens,but couldn't find Him there.....
I searched within the shadows, but my quest was made in vain,
for I was blinded by my hopelessness and and deafened by my pain.
I climbed the highest mountain ~ crossed the widest sea,
and still, the presence of my Lord seemed to flee from me.
My spirit cried out to the Lord, my heart began to weep,
"Why have you forsaken me when I have vowed to keep
the law which You have given, and only seek Your will?"
Then I heard the voice of He I sought - "My child, BE STILL!"
I trembled at His mighty voice ~ unworthy as I am,
but then I felt my panic melt in the presence of the Lamb.
Dazzling in the darkness, a brilliance at my side
said,"Child, I'm right here with you and it's here I will abide.
As long as you shall love Me with all your soul and all our heart,
I will make My home in thee, never to depart!"
Then His light receded, but the place He touched still shone
with the blessing He had given me ~ A diamond in the stone!
To never walk in darkness,
but use my faith to spark
a Holy fire to guide me
to my Diamonds in the dark!
