........After a long wait the film finally reached the cinema halls and is drawing packed audiences… The thriller specialists Abbas Mustan have chosen a family drama this time. And they have done a good job in executing the same. Raj Malhotra, (Salman marries Priya (Rani) after insistence of his family members. (Grandfather, uncle, aunt, parents et al) But all hell breaks loose when Priya has a miscarriage and she can't have kids anymore… Raj and Priya decide to hide the latter fact from the family and as it would hurt them a lot…but unable to bear the family pain she asks Raj to remarry. Because he loves her too much he disagrees and suggests adoption… Priya then comes up with the idea of a surrogate mother… After a lot of 'research' on his part Raj lands up with Madhubala a nightclub dancer cum prostitute. She agrees to have his kid for Rs 10 lakh. When Raj informs Priya about the same she is ecstatic but he hides the fact that Madhu is a prostitute… The trio migrates to the Swiss Alps and soon Madhu is pregnant… Raj and Priya are thrilled but circumstances force them to shift back to Delhi. Soon enough Madhu changes and now she wants Raj and the kid too… But in the end after some heavy dialogue baazi Madhu gives in and gives the kid away to the person she loves the most -- Raj.

Clearly Preity carries the film… She is absolutely brilliant and smooth. Though the stint as a prostitute did not carry (The inspired Abbas Mustan taking heavily off Pretty Woman) Preity could not do a Julia Roberts! However as Preity pulls off an effective performance as Madhu who slowly realizes her love for Raj and the despair that she will have to let go... Rani hangs around for added value… Though the glamour doll really needs to do something about her make up which had her looking awful in the flick. Salman should spare some emotion for his face… he looks blank and lost most of the time.

The direction is average and inspired at times… Though it was sad to watch veterans like Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Dalip Tahil and most importantly Johny Lever being reduced to mere background props with not even a few good scenes between them. The songs though did infuse a kind of freshness to the film. Overall the film does have a different story to tell us than the usual love triangles… so go on and watch it…
