Cell Number 6

The window led to a place of despair

where there was no way in,

and no way out.

The face- pale and drawn,

and the tears,

Oh- the tears;

incessant, and empty...

A faraway gaze that was captured

between the cold, steel bars.

I knew the look in her eyes

would haunt me forever.

She was alone.

A solitary figure in her world of chaos.

The agony in her eyes- so intense,

it hit me like a thousand knives.

So sharp I couldn't stand it.

The hands of time stopped as I

was brought to the edge of her world.

I turned away, but the demons from her cell

dance in my shadows, as I

slowly

walked

away...
